A VHS tape from 2004 serving as a biography of Emiliano Zapata. Tape is completely in Spanish but if you have an even rudimentary knowledge of Spanish, like I do, it is worthwhile watching. In color with beautiful landscape views and city/fort structural takes. Zapata generally led the Mexican revolution around 1910,so the film has its share of battle scenes. It also details his torture by burning the bottom of his feet, and the Federales mass executions and scorched earth policies. The film has a personal side of his marital relationship and mistress as well as some mythical content at the hands of a native Indian practitioner. A true piece of entertainment with marvelous acting and direction. The film is near-new and is sourced from the Internacional Video Club (not a former rental tape).
